The picture above is most all of the EMI interns for this spring, taken by my teammate, Brittany Coulbert. We are all dispersing today after a long, hard, fun week of orientation in Colorado Springs. The whole week started off with a well-explained biblical presentation of the gospel and God's heart to bring it to the nations. We received training on topics such as living in a different culture, designing in a third world country, understanding your personality/spiritual gifts/strengths, and how to work well with your team. We played team games, went indoor rock climbing, hiking, played music together, and made some good friendships. Now, we will each be going to either Uganda, India, Canada, Costa Rica, Egypt or Colorado Springs. This is great.
Support came in for me above and beyond the goal! The goal was originally $7500, but it went down after we found a great deal on airplane tickets to about $7200. My support as of now is $7660! The extra can be used to cover expenses that have gone along with this trip such as the airfare to CO Springs, luggage fees, meals, etc. Thank you all who have helped! Please pray for me, our plane leaves from Denver at 5:20 Mountain time (6:20 Central, 7:20 Eastern).
